Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
Cellar Pro is developed by Shankar Dutt and published by DuttLabs. This policy explains what information the app handles, why it is used, and how you control it.
Information the app handles
- Collection records: bottle names, producers, vintages, regions, categories, storage positions, quantities, values, drinking windows, ratings, tasting notes, and related record fields.
- Photos and videos: bottle images and scanner input that you choose to add or capture for app functionality.
- Label scanning input: label images are processed on your device using on-device text recognition. Cellar Pro does not send label images to a developer server for recognition.
- Barcode lookup: when you scan a barcode, the barcode number may be sent to Open Food Facts to retrieve product information. Personal collection notes are not sent as part of this lookup.
- Purchase status: Apple handles payment processing. The app receives entitlement information from StoreKit so it can determine whether access is active.
How the information is used
Cellar Pro uses this information to provide the inventory, storage, value tracking, drinking-window, import, export, widget, Apple Watch, and notification features you choose to use.
Storage and sync
Collection data is stored locally on your device. If you enable iCloud sync, collection data may also be stored in your private iCloud account and synchronized to devices signed in with the same Apple ID. Cellar Pro does not operate a separate user account service for this sync.
Third-party services
- Apple App Store and StoreKit: app distribution, purchases, subscription status, trial eligibility, and purchase restore.
- Apple iCloud: optional sync through your Apple ID.
- On-device text recognition: label recognition runs on your device.
- Open Food Facts: barcode lookup when you scan a barcode.
Price lookup actions can open external browser searches on services such as Vivino, Wine-Searcher, Wine.com, or CellarTracker. When you choose one of those actions, selected bottle details may be included in the search URL so the external site can show relevant results.
Data sharing
Cellar Pro does not sell personal information and does not track users across apps or websites. Collection data is not shared with third parties except when you choose a feature that requires an external service, such as barcode lookup, price lookup, App Store purchases, or optional iCloud sync.
Notifications
If you enable notifications, Cellar Pro may send local notifications about drinking windows or related collection reminders. You can disable notifications in the app or in system settings.
Your choices and controls
- View, edit, export, or delete collection records in the app.
- Disable iCloud sync in the app or in Apple system settings.
- Delete local app data by deleting records in the app or removing the app from the device.
- Manage iCloud data using Apple's iCloud controls when iCloud sync has been used.
- Manage subscriptions and purchase history through your Apple account settings.
Children
Cellar Pro is not intended for children under 17 years of age because it concerns alcoholic beverage collections. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as the app changes. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised date.
